Finchley Library
This library, built for an academic on the roof of a terraced North London home, opens up at the end of a newly formed loft conversion overlooking the garden.
We were commissioned to handcraft cabinetry and a writing desk with a unique design that incorporated and extended key features of the architectural joinery.
The warmth of the extensive Douglas Fir and lime plaster is offset by a mushroom linoleum desktop and Bianco Carrara marble inset atop the cabinetry.

Joinery: North American Douglas Fir (solid and quarter cut veneer)
Desktop: Forbo Desktop Linoleum
Additional materials: Bianco Carrara Marble to absorb sunlight and protect the contents of the library

Design: Collaboration with Pricegore

Project Architect: Pricegore
