Jacob Alexander create lasting designs and use high-quality materials to ensure our products endure. We are committed to reducing the negative impact of our work on the environment and the climate. We use sustainable and responsibly sourced materials in all of our projects and we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint across all our activities including sourcing, production, transport, energy use, waste disposal and health and safety.
Materials
We prioritise sustainability and longevity in our choice of materials. We use a range of wood products in our handcrafted bespoke kitchens and furniture including solid wood, veneer, plywood and engineered panels. We recognise the environmental and social impact of the global timber industry and aim to promote the use of legal and sustainable wood products through sourcing from sustainably managed forests or recycled materials. Sustainable forest management not only aims to ensure trees are harvested at a sustainable rate – reducing deforestation and illegal logging – it also aims to protect workers, communities and biodiversity. All our wood products, including recycled wood materials, are certified under the Forest Stewardship Council’s (FSC) sustainable forest management scheme.
