About Us
Jacob Alexander create bespoke handcrafted kitchens and furniture. Our expert team of draughters and cabinet makers is committed to creating exceptional quality cabinetry through a dynamic interaction of materials, disciplines, technology and craft. Based at our studio and workshop in South-East London, we have been realising the visions of architects and interior designers across the UK since 2012. From statement furniture pieces to tailor-made joinery packages, meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful design is at the heart of everything we do.
Jacob Alexander is led by Founder and Design Director Jacob Lomas and Operations Director Adelaide Glover, alongside their dedicated team of cabinet makers and furniture fitters. Jacob studied Fine Art Sculpture at the University of Brighton where he developed a keen eye for detail and a passion for materials, experimentation and manufacturing processes. Jacob re-trained as a cabinet maker and established Jacob Alexander in December 2012 when he was just 23 years old. Since then he has developed an impressive design-led portfolio of work, including his collection of innovative metalwork projects. Jacob is a perfectionist and his meticulous approach to projects, however large or small, means that we create bespoke cabinetry that stands the test of time in terms of both design and durability.
Adelaide studied Environmental Geography and International Development with a focus on forestry, at the University of East Anglia. Adelaide has over six years of research and project management experience in forest governance and the international timber trade and has worked for leading organisations in the field. Adelaide has a sound understanding of how and where our timber materials are sourced and the need to ensure they are certified sustainable, free from human rights abuses and other illegalities.
